## Description

Norske kulturhus is the national interest organisation for Norway’s cultural houses, founded in 1997 and representing 142 members across the country, from Lindesnes to Longyearbyen. It works to strengthen the cultural-house sector by sharing knowledge, building professional expertise and bringing venues together around common interests and practical challenges.

The organisation arranges professional conferences, including an annual conference hosted in different locations, and provides news, guidance and resources through its website and newsletter. Its online Verktøykassa, or Toolbox, offers materials for members, while projects such as Sambruk! explore the shared use of stages and cinemas. Norske kulturhus also publishes information on topics relevant to cultural venues, including data-sharing agreements, marketing and the independent music scene.
