## Description

Kuma Tactical provides civilian firearms and emergency-response training, drawing on the instructor’s Marine veteran experience, deployment background, and formal training. Its mission is to help people become safer, more confident, and more responsible through practical instruction in marksmanship, firearms handling, and preparedness. Courses are capped at five students to support direct coaching, safety oversight, and meaningful practice.

Handgun classes progress from basic fundamentals, including grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, to advanced skills such as malfunction drills, movement, holster work, and shooting from cover or concealment. The company also offers rifle courses covering safety, zeroing, recoil management, positional shooting, use of cover, and scenario-based exercises. A concealed-carry permit certification course is available for applicants and renewals in Alameda, San Benito, and Monterey counties. Private classes provide one-on-one instruction tailored to each participant’s skill level.

Kuma Tactical also teaches AVIRT (Active Violence Immediate Response Training) in traditional classroom and blended formats, preparing community members and professionals to respond to critical incidents.
