Kumoshika Productions is an independent boutique production company based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 2020 by Youmi and Kevin Haefelin, we are dedicated to developing high-quality artistic projects that provoke thought and inspire audiences. Our focus spans across films, documentaries, TV series, and unscripted content, which we produce and coproduce for international appeal.

At Kumoshika Productions, we believe in the power of storytelling to promote cultural diversity and give a voice to underrepresented individuals in the industry. We strive to create content with social impact, encouraging connections across borders. Our debut film, Trumpet, received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for Best Short Film at the Swiss Film Award (Quartz) and nominations in numerous prestigious film festivals, including the BAFTA Student Film Awards and 12 Academy Awards® qualifying festivals.

In collaboration with RTS Radio Télévision Suisse, we produced The Fuse, which premiered at the PÖFF | Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Additionally, we coproduced Macadam, a compelling short film that premiered at BAFICI, featuring renowned actor Luis Ortega. Currently, we are working on our first feature film project, Pufferfish, which has been selected to participate in esteemed industry platforms such as Torino Film Lab Extended in 2022 and IFFR Rotterdam Lab in 2023.
