## Description

Kunst in Ootmarsum is a long-running Dutch art event that has brought artists and art lovers together since 1983. Held in the town of Ootmarsum, the annual open-air festival presents work by a large group of Dutch and international artists and welcomes visitors of all ages. The next edition is scheduled for 28–30 August 2026, with daily opening hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its programme includes an art circuit, a central exhibition featuring four artists, and opportunities to discover emerging artists and watch demonstrations. A dedicated children’s art area invites young visitors to create and present their own work, including paintings, crafts and clay creations. The event’s organisers also provide practical information for visitors and participating artists, publish news and an event magazine, and manage artist registration. Each edition has a theme; in 2026, “VerBeeldende Kunst” will guide the event. Kunst in Ootmarsum offers a lively setting for experiencing diverse art, creative activities and cultural exchange.
