## Description

Kuopion Hiihtäjät Ry, also known as KuHi, is a volunteer-run sports club in Kuopio, Finland, bringing together people who enjoy an active lifestyle and friendly team spirit. In winter, the club focuses on cross-country skiing. Members can take part in regional relay events and other cross-country competitions, though racing is not required to join or attend training. During summer, activities shift to church-boat rowing, with regular shared practice sessions, three church boats and a double scull available to members. The club’s crews also enter events such as the Sulkava, Pirkka, Saimaa and Kulosaaren rowing competitions. KuHi welcomes both experienced participants and newcomers, offering an accessible way to enjoy sport together. Its activities are supported by members’ voluntary work and community fundraising. Annual membership and seasonal rowing fees apply, with separate rowing fees for non-members. The club also organizes events and volunteer activities, and provides membership information, training schedules, competition results and contact details through its website.
