## Description

KURZFILMTAG is a vibrant annual celebration of short films held every December 21st, coinciding with the winter solstice, and is recognized as one of the shortest days of the year. Now in its 13th edition, KURZFILMTAG invites event organizers across Germany to plan and execute unique gatherings centered around short films over a week-long period. The theme for 2024, "Banden bilden" (forming ties), encourages creators and viewers alike to engage deeply with the medium, fostering connections to the films, each other, and the shared experience of cinema.

The initiative features a diverse array of short film programs, special events, and a creatively stimulating atmosphere that sparks community engagement through film. Participants are encouraged to explore their creativity with limitless ideas for events, making it a captivating platform for filmmakers and audiences. With support from various cultural promoters, KURZFILMTAG continues to be a pivotal force in celebrating the artistry and cultural significance of short films in contemporary society.
