## Description

With more than 80 employees, it serves as a central contact, competence centre and innovation platform for the KBV, regional Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and their members, supporting digitalisation in outpatient healthcare.

The company focuses on secure medical communication and practical digital services. It supports software developers working to ensure that practice management systems can exchange sensitive information reliably, including doctors’ letters, medical findings and laboratory data through KIM services. Its support includes technical specifications, testing and auditing, interoperability workshops and individual consultations. On behalf of the KBV, kv.digital also organises the kv.dox KIM service.

For the 116117 patient service, kv.digital provides software that helps practices offer and manage appointments and enables patients to book them online, through the 116117 app or by phone. Regional appointment service centres use the same system.
