## Description

KVW Joepie is a community-run children’s holiday-week programme for children who attend school or live in Sevenum, Kronenberg and Evertsoord in the Netherlands. It organises an energetic five-day event filled with creative, playful and themed activities, bringing local children together during the summer holidays. The 2026 KinderVakantieWeek is scheduled for 10–14 August, with programmes tailored to four school-year groups: 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8. Daily schedules vary by age group, and some older groups have overnight stays as part of the week. Families can register children online when registration opens, while volunteer leaders sign up through a separate form. Joepie also shares practical information for participants, including group schedules, guidance for first-time attendees, emergency details, photos, music and a promotional booklet. The organisation offers Joepie merchandise and invites residents to donate used items for creative activities. A collection trailer is scheduled to visit Sevenum ahead of the 2026 event. KVW Joepie’s focus is on creating a memorable, lively holiday experience for children and the wider local community.
