## Description

Kwartel is an Afrikaans-language word game that challenges players to solve four five-letter words at the same time. Inspired by Quordle, the English game created by Freddie Meyer, Kwartel gives players nine guesses to complete all four puzzles. Each submitted word is tested against every answer, and coloured tiles indicate whether letters are absent, present in the wrong position, or correctly placed. A new puzzle is available each day, and players can also use the practice mode to play beyond the daily challenge.

The game includes a keyboard interface and settings for dark mode, colour-blind mode, vibration, key arrangement, keyboard height and board size. Its statistics track games played, win percentage, current and longest winning streaks, and the distribution of guesses needed to solve all four words. Created by Laurie Scheepers of Code Tonight, Kwartel brings a familiar word-puzzle format to Afrikaans-speaking players. The site also acknowledges its supporters and notes its collaboration with the WAT.
