## Description

The Deutsche Kyokushinkai Organisation (DKO) is a nonprofit association dedicated to promoting Kyokushin karate in Germany. Founded in 1986, it describes itself as the country’s oldest Kyokushin karate federation and was established to develop the style associated with legendary karate master Masutatsu Oyama. The organisation brings together member dojos, including clubs and schools, and continues to grow as new dojos join its network.

The DKO provides information about its member dojos, organisational structure, activities and contact points. Its website also shares news, event announcements and participation details for national and international karate activities. These include summer camps, winter camps, training seminars and competitions, with published notices for events such as the Ammersbek Cup and European Championships. Visitors can also explore the organisation’s competition rules and learn about Kyokushin philosophy, the dojo oath, the history of the style and the spirit of OSU no Seishin. Led by its president, Shihan Christoph Wortmann, the DKO serves as a central resource for practitioners and anyone interested in Kyokushin karate in Germany.
