Description

Kyowa Chemical Industry is an inorganic chemical manufacturer that primarily uses minerals from seawater as their main raw materials. They specialize in producing and distributing industrial products such as non-halogen resin stabilizers and flame retardants, as well as pharmaceutical and food additive products like acidifiers and functional modifiers. The company was founded in 1947 by Ryohei Matsushima, who later became the second president.

Despite the extreme shortage of resources in the post-war era, they established their factory in the former salt field area of Setouchi-cho, Takamatsu city with just a few employees and debris-filled land. The name Kyowa Chemical Industry was chosen to reflect the company's philosophy of being a cooperative company where all employees work together. Committed to their employees' well-being, the company's first president, Yoshio Matsushima, firmly resolved to never let the company go bankrupt and to avoid subjecting their employees and their families to dire circumstances.

Over the years, Kyowa Chemical Industry successfully developed unique technology and became the world's leading producer of hydrothermal synthetics. They continue to innovate and provide new products to the world based on their belief in unique product development through unique technology
