## Description

L-13 Light Industrial Workshop, located in Clerkenwell, London, is a unique creative platform founded by artist Steve Lowe in 2003. Known for its unconventional approach, L-13 operates as a private club for art and leisure while challenging cultural norms. Rather than functioning as a typical gallery or art collective, L-13 is a dynamic hub that supports a close-knit group of artists, including notable figures such as Harry Adams, Jimmy Cauty, Billy Childish, and Jamie Reid. At L-13, projects range from ambitious to intimate, with offerings including book publishing, print making, and the realization of eclectic artistic visions. The workshop is equipped with distinctive tools like the 1825 Albion Press and the innovative Finger of God Painting Machine. Committed to making art accessible, L-13 balances affordable creations with high-end pieces to sustain its ventures. Through collaborations with galleries and a unique funding approach, L-13 embraces a playful and provocative spirit, striving to enrich culture and creative expression.
