## Description

La Maréchalerie is an equine farriery service run by Mathilde CouvRAnd, a farrier based in Plouézec, Brittany. Serving professionals and private owners throughout the Côtes-d’Armor, she travels within a 50-kilometre radius of Paimpol to care for horses, ponies and donkeys of different ages and activity levels.

Services include routine hoof trimming, standard shoeing and orthopaedic shoeing. Trimming helps maintain hoof balance and support the tendons, while shoeing can protect the hoof, improve comfort and address alignment or other needs. Where appropriate, Mathilde can work alongside the horse’s veterinarian. For urgent problems such as lameness or a lost shoe within six weeks of shoeing, she aims to attend within 48 hours of a request. Owners can also arrange their next appointment in advance and adjust it later if necessary.

La Maréchalerie additionally sells Kevin Bacon’s hoof-care products, including oils and grease, according to each horse’s needs. The business also provides farrier cover at events such as competitions, helping owners keep their equine partners’ hoof care on track.
