## Description

La Bellakina is a pedagogical farm and animal-mediated support centre in Camarade, Ariège, near the Mas d’Azil cave and within reach of Foix, Saint-Girons, Cazères and Toulouse. Founded around the relationship between people and animals, the project offers respectful opportunities to meet a variety of animals while learning about animal behaviour and the environment. Its activities include farm visits, educational workshops, animal-mediated sessions and adapted stays, with sessions designed to support individual care and accompaniment goals. La Bellakina also provides equine boarding and canine education, including support for people with a fear of dogs. Its approach emphasises ethology, animal welfare, positive and gentle education, and respect for each animal’s needs. The work is led by Julie Guilloteau, whose qualifications include specialised education, equine enterprise management and training in animal care and behaviour. Her experience with children, older people and other groups informs a welcoming, secure setting where trust and mutual respect guide interactions between animals and people.
