## Description

Love Myself Self-Respect Lab is a Japanese personal-development and educational initiative led by representative Toshiko Kitamura. Its work centers on self-esteem: recognizing one’s worth and accepting oneself, including imperfections, without blame. The Lab invites adults and children to notice their feelings and bodily responses, understand patterns that cause distress, and develop greater self-compassion.

Its main offerings are lectures, courses, workshops, and individual sessions, available in person and online. Programs combine guided reflection with practical exercises for emotional awareness and self-acceptance. Depending on the session, activities may include breathing practices, meditation, grounding, spoken words for emotional release, self-affirmations, and sound-based exercises. Some workshops draw on ideas associated with Ho’oponopono and Japanese vocal traditions, while adapting practices to participants’ own meaningful words and experiences.

The Lab also provides information about Kitamura’s profile, publications, media appearances, radio work, and speaking engagements, alongside participant feedback and online video content. Its welcoming approach allows people to listen or take part in exercises without sharing personal concerns or having prior experience.
