## Description

LaCAR MDx Technologies is a Belgian medical diagnostics company founded in 2013, focused on reliable, fast and automated genetic testing solutions for laboratories. Producing and commercialising CE-IVD diagnostic kits under ISO 13485, the company supports customers from sample collection through analysis and reporting, combining kits, instruments and interpretation software in integrated workflows.

Its expertise spans three areas: newborn screening, pharmacogenetics, and genetic predispositions and disorders. Newborn screening solutions cover conditions such as phenylketonuria, congenital hypothyroidism, cystic fibrosis and severe combined immunodeficiency, using technologies including immunoassays, qPCR, mass spectrometry and digital microfluidics. Pharmacogenetic kits detect actionable variants in genes including DPYD, TPMT, NUDT15, CYP2C9 and CYP2C19, helping inform treatment choices. Other assays address genetic thrombosis, HLA markers, hemochromatosis and food intolerances.

LaCAR also offers sample collection products, preparation and analysis instruments, and software for automated result interpretation and reporting. With local production, responsive customer service and clients in more than 50 countries, the company aims to help laboratories improve workflows and advance medical diagnostics.
