## Description

La Course des Filles is a women-focused sporting and solidarity event held in Brives-Charensac, in Haute-Loire, Auvergne, France. Organized by the Office des Sports du Puy-en-Velay, it brings together women of different generations to walk or run in support of the fight against breast cancer. The event features a five-kilometre route along the Loire, with participants able to choose their own pace and take part on foot or running.

The initiative promotes physical activity and raises awareness of breast cancer prevention, sharing information about the potential health benefits of regular exercise. Funds raised are presented to the Ligue contre le cancer. Each year, the event also involves a community sponsor, or “marrain,” whose initiative helps support its solidarity message.

The organization provides practical information for participants, registration, a day-of-event programme and a two-week training plan to help people prepare. It also shares event news and updates through its website and social media. With its accessible format and community focus, La Course des Filles combines physical activity, awareness and collective support.
