Lactation Care Connection provides professional lactation support to families in the western suburbs of Chicago. Its team consists of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants who are also neonatal healthcare providers, including a NICU nurse and a NICU speech-language pathologist. Combining clinical experience with their own perspectives as mothers, they work with families to develop care plans that support each baby’s nutritional needs and help parents meet their feeding goals.

The consultants assist with challenges such as painful latch, sore nipples, low milk supply, engorgement, breast pain, pumping, bottle refusal, and concerns about an infant’s weight gain or milk transfer. They also collaborate with parents’ and babies’ healthcare providers when additional coordination is needed. Beyond direct care, the team contributes to research, community advocacy, and policy efforts to improve breastfeeding support and create more breastfeeding-friendly environments.
