## Description

Lafayette Comedy is a well-established brand that aims to bring laughter to the Acadiana area. They specialize in producing and promoting stand-up comedy shows, featuring a diverse range of talented local, regional, and national comedians. In addition to their regular comedy shows, Lafayette Comedy also organizes weekly, monthly, and special events. When attending one of their shows, there are a few rules to keep in mind. Cell phones should be switched to silent or turned off, and taking phone calls during the show is strongly discouraged. Table talk should be kept to a minimum, as loud and talkative patrons may be asked to leave without refunds. Flash photography and recording of performances are strictly prohibited, as each comedian owns the rights to their own material. Lafayette Comedy assures its audience that all acts are professional and nationally touring comedians, even if their names may not be immediately recognizable. It is recommended that audience members research the comedian they are coming to see, as comedy is subjective and personal preferences may vary. For those aspiring to be comedians, Lafayette Comedy offers a weekly open-mic event at Legend's Pub. They provide helpful tips to guide newcomers through their first time on stage, emphasizing important aspects such as staying within the allotted time, knowing material beforehand, observing other comedians, and avoiding any offensive behavior towards the crowd. Whether you are looking for an evening of laughter or aspiring to be a comedian yourself, Lafayette Comedy is the brand to turn to. Keep an eye on their calendar and consider signing up for their newsletter to stay updated on upcoming shows and special events. Contact them via email at lafayettecomedy@gmail.com or by phone at (337) 298-4373 for further inquiries.
