## Description

Acadiana Indian Association, Inc. is a Louisiana nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Indian culture to residents of Acadiana and southern Louisiana. Incorporated in Louisiana and designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, it serves the Indian community in Acadiana and surrounding areas through cultural programming and community events. Its signature event is Lafayette Holi, an annual, family-friendly Festival of Colors held at Girard Park in Lafayette. A local tradition since 2011, the festival welcomes everyone to celebrate Holi and the arrival of spring. Activities include live DJ music, dance, performances, dhol drumming, the exchange of colors, and Indian food. The event offers an opportunity for families, friends, and the wider community to gather, enjoy Indian culture, and share in the festive atmosphere. Lafayette Holi is scheduled for the last Saturday of March; the 2026 festival is listed for March 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The association also shares festival guides, galleries, volunteer information, and sponsor opportunities through its website.
