## Description

LAF Doula is a mother-and-daughter postpartum support team serving families in Hampton Roads in person and across the United States virtually. Its work focuses on helping parents navigate the fourth trimester and build confidence as they adjust to life with a newborn. Laurie Ann is a DONA International Certified Postpartum Doula and a CAPPA Certified Lactation Educator, with more than 30 years of experience serving mothers. Her daughter Dani, a mother of three, works as her assistant and brings recent firsthand experience of early parenthood.

LAF Doula offers personalized emotional and practical support, coaching, and mentoring. Services include breastfeeding guidance on establishing milk supply, achieving a proper latch, pumping, and creating a family-friendly routine, as well as paced, breastfeeding-friendly bottle-feeding techniques. The team also shares tools and product and vendor recommendations, drawing on personal experience with the products and services it recommends. LAF Doula has experience supporting families with multiples, rainbow babies, military families, and families formed through IVF, surrogacy, or adoption.
