## Description

La Grande Collecte, organized by Solidarité Peuple Animal, is a significant event that aims to combat the abandonment of companion animals in France. Held on World Animal Abandonment Day, this initiative focuses on gathering food and essential supplies for abandoned animals in shelters and associations across the country. The event encourages community participation through partnerships with local stores and animal welfare organizations.

Volunteers play a crucial role in this initiative, with opportunities to support various animal associations. Those interested can either contribute their time or donate directly at participating shops. The goal of the collection is to ensure that the hundreds of thousands of animals in care receive proper nutrition and maintenance while they await adoption. With each donated item, the initiative helps alleviate the financial burdens faced by small associations dedicated to animal rescue and care. Join the movement and assist in providing meals and basic needs for these animals in desperate situations. Together, we can make a lasting impact on their lives.
