Lajuanda M. Asemota is a renowned futurist, technologist, international speaker, community builder, advisor, experience designer, and entrepreneur. With nearly two decades of experience, she is a problem solver who fearlessly tackles even the most complex projects with innovative approaches and grace.

Lajuanda specializes in grassroots program design, diversity and inclusion in educational spaces, and technology for good. Currently, as the Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder of Second Chance Studios, a nonprofit digital media company, Lajuanda is focused on training and employing individuals who were formerly incarcerated. Her previous roles include Executive Director of /dev/color, where she empowered Black software engineers to become industry leaders, and leadership positions at Singularity University, where she launched impactful initiatives at the intersection of technology and social impact.

Lajuanda's dedication to equitable and inclusive access to resources has led her to empower communities in various ways, including roles at UC Berkeley and World Bridges. She is also passionate about community building and cultural expression, having organized numerous spaces and events. Lajuanda holds degrees in African American Studies and Advertising & Consumer Behavior from the University of California, Berkeley.

In her leisure time, she enjoys reading Spanish-language literature, traveling, and playing volleyball
