## Description

Lakay Toussaint Community Alliance is a Seattle-based organization supporting Haitian culture, community, and connection across Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. Rooted in the legacy of Haiti’s 1804 independence, the Alliance brings Caribbean traditions into local community life and works toward its guiding principle: “No Haitian Left Behind.” Its mission is to transform lives and build collective power through education, economic empowerment, service, justice, and immigration support.

The organization offers immigration services, including multilingual guidance through legal pathways and direct advocacy. Its youth engagement programs provide cultural mentorship, educational support, and professional exposure, helping young people connect their heritage with future opportunities. Workforce and economic initiatives include job placement, vocational training, and small-business support tailored to the Haitian community. Lakay Toussaint also fosters cultural preservation and celebrates Haitian identity through community events, shared resources, and storytelling. People can get involved by joining programs and events, volunteering, partnering with the Alliance, or making a contribution. Lakay Toussaint Community Alliance is fiscally sponsored by Byrd Barr Place.
