Lakewinds Food Co is a community-owned, local grocery store with a passion for local, sustainable produce, meat, and groceries. For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to offering the highest-quality organic and sustainably raised food from as close to home as possible. Our commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, supporting local makers, sustaining communities, and protecting the planet is at the heart of everything we do.

We carefully evaluate every item before it hits our shelves, ensuring that our produce is 95% organic and sourced locally. We go beyond other stores by banning artificial colors or flavors, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, sulfites, nitrates or nitrites, MSG, and more. We work closely with local, organic farmers and rely on trusted third-party verification to ensure the sustainability and health of our wild-caught seafood.

At Lakewinds, our team members are passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to our cause. They receive fair compensation, benefits, and ongoing training, enabling them to provide exceptional service to our customers. Giving back to the community is an important part of our mission.

Through programs like the Lakewinds Organic Field Fund, we support local, small-scale organic farmers. We donate food to local food shelves, assist schools and community gardens, and raise funds for organizations that develop local organic food supply chains. With three locations in Chanhassen, Minnetonka, and Richfield, all are welcome to shop at Lakewinds Food Co.
