## Description

La Koukaloka is an association based in Caumont, France, dedicated to preserving biodiversity and introducing people to permaculture. Its living garden serves as a place for experimentation and learning, where the association puts permaculture and syntropic growing principles into practice. Its work is guided by three aims: rethinking human relationships with the natural world, exploring more desirable futures, and strengthening local connections and solidarity.

The site brings together several complementary spaces. A mandala-style permaculture garden grows vegetables, fruit and aromatic plants in harmony with nature, without chemical products. The community nursery cultivates and shares cuttings and seeds, supporting local planting projects. Diverse micro-forest and syntropic hedgerow plantings use local and other species to build fertility and provide habitat for wildlife. La Koukaloka also hosts events, creative workshops and retreats, and provides a welcoming meeting place for members and partners. Its activities include workshops and courses, as well as educational sessions in schools.
