## Description

Il Tempo di Berta is a community festival in Montegrotto Terme, near Padua, celebrating the local Legend of Berta and the town’s medieval heritage. Inspired by a popular tale of a spinner whose generosity earned her and her husband a gift of land, the event brings the story to life through performances, historical costumes, traditional crafts and activities for visitors. Its program includes a medieval village and inn, where guests can discover period arts, trades and games, as well as food inspired by the era. Special events include a medieval banquet, a fire show, the Palio of the Six Contrade, a historical procession featuring more than 400 participants, and a theatrical retelling of the legend. The six Contrade represent different areas of Montegrotto and take part in the festival’s pageantry and competitions. The event also invites people to register as exhibitors, performers or collaborators, although places for 2026 historical procession participants are listed as full.
