## Description

La Lunanuova is an associated midwifery practice and cultural association based in Milan, with roots dating back to the 1980s. For more than 40 years, its team has supported women and families through pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and early parenthood. The midwives provide clinical care during pregnancy, labour and home birth, support breastfeeding, and offer pelvic floor rehabilitation and care for abdominal diastasis. They follow national guidelines for low-risk pregnancy and birth, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and emphasize attentive, personalized care.

The practice also offers courses and services for different stages of women’s lives, including yoga during pregnancy and support after birth. Its guiding mission is to protect and promote the natural, physiological course of birth while helping women build confidence in their own abilities.

Founded in 2007 by midwives and mothers, the cultural association organizes informational and educational activities on pregnancy, birth, conscious parenting, women’s health and prevention of gender-based violence. La Lunanuova combines professional care with community learning and cultural engagement.
