The company is the result of a collaboration between Camus, the world's leading family-owned cognac producer, and the Baring Family's Revelstoke Trust. Both founders, Cyril Camus and Alexander Baring, share ancestral lineages and a common history. Inspired by Lambay Island, a private wildlife sanctuary owned by the Baring Family since 1904, the partnership aims to create a distinctive Irish whiskey. 

Lambay Island itself is an enchanting place, located just three miles off the coast of Dublin. It's a haven for puffins and other seabirds and is known for its unique ecosystem and thriving wildlife. The island's micro-climate, rich in maritime elements and sea salt, provides the perfect conditions for cask maturation. To honor this natural setting, Lambay Whiskey stores its barrels in the Sea Cask Room, situated in the once-used lifeboat cottage on the island's western shore.

Lambay Whiskey is also committed to corporate social responsibility and actively contributes to the preservation and protection of the island's ecosystem. As a member of Ireland's Origin Green program, the brand focuses on nurturing and respecting the wildlife and flora on Lambay Island.
