## Description

Lambda Center Houston is an LGBTQ+ and allies Twelve-Step recovery clubhouse serving Houston’s recovery community. Founded in February 1978, the center offers a welcoming place to build fellowship, find support, and pursue hope, healing, and connection through Alcoholics Anonymous and other Twelve-Step programs. It hosts in-person recovery meetings and provides a schedule of virtual gatherings, including open AA discussions, Al-Anon discussions, meditation, and ACA meetings. The center also organizes community activities and events, such as movie nights and its annual Miss, Mister, and Mx Lambda drag competition. Visitors can review meeting schedules, center hours, and the code of conduct online, while members can arrange recurring monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual contributions, or use a check or cash form. Lambda Center’s Houston clubhouse is located at 1201 W. Clay and is open at scheduled times throughout the week. The organization also shares board meeting minutes and monthly financial reports with members upon request, reflecting its stated commitment to transparency.
