# Langholm Common Riding - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `langholmcommonriding.com` ## Description Langholm Common Riding is a Scottish charitable organisation dedicated to preserving and celebrating the town’s historic Common Riding traditions. The event began in 1759, and customs associated with Bauldy Beattie and the early organisers remain central to the celebration today. Tradition shapes the morning programme, whose events are carried out unchanged and reflect the community’s attachment to Langholm and its surrounding countryside. The afternoon brings a lively programme to the Castleholm, featuring horse racing, athletics, Cumberland wrestling and Highland dancing. These activities combine sporting competition with colour, atmosphere and conviviality, welcoming residents and visitors to take part in the occasion. Ceremonial events continue into the evening, when crowds fill the town’s streets for the closing proceedings, bringing the day to a memorable conclusion. The organisation also shares information about the event’s history, past Cornets, young riders, news and visitor arrangements. Through its sporting, social and ceremonial programme, Langholm Common Riding sustains an important annual tradition and celebrates the town’s identity and community spirit. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Holidays and Seasonal Events _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/langholmcommonriding) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idZodzHajW/w/1355/h/1775/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793000672338) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idZodzHajW/w/587/h/587/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793000672578) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Stiletto | #9f2f44 | accent | | Rhino | #2a345d | dark | | Turquoise | #31cdcf | light | ## Fonts - Helvetica Neue — asset _(custom)_ - Helvetica Neue — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
