## Description

NSWA+ is a pioneering digital initiative launched by the Lao PDR government to modernize and streamline customs procedures. By replacing traditional paper-based methods with efficient electronic processes, NSWA+ connects public and private stakeholders involved in international trade, such as customs officers, economic operators, and shipping agents. This fully integrated system facilitates the exchange of information and documents, clearance, permits, and payments through a centralized online platform, ultimately promoting transparency and reducing opportunities for corruption.

The enhancements of NSWA+, which was previously known as the Lao National Single Window, include the incorporation of ASYCUDA system features, benefiting users with a more refined customs declaration process. Since its operation began in 2020, NSWA+ has continued to evolve, playing a significant role in increasing trade efficiency, lowering operational costs, and improving overall governance. The system is developed in partnership between BIVAC Lao Co., Ltd.
