## Description

Lappeenrannan Taiji hu bian ry is a Lappeenranta-based association founded in 2005 to promote and develop the practice of Taiji and Health Qigong in the city and surrounding areas. A member of the Finnish Wushu Federation, the association offers beginner and continuing courses, group practice and demonstrations at local events.

Its classes introduce students to Taijiquan, a traditional Chinese movement practice combining martial arts forms with slow, controlled movement and principles of balance. Training includes Yang-style routines such as the eight-, 13- and 24-movement forms, as well as a 32-movement Taiji sword sequence. Health Qigong classes combine gentle movement, breathing and concentration. The association teaches six routines, including Ba Duan Jin, Wu Qin Xi and Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Shi Er Fa.

Seasonal beginner courses are held at Lönnrotin school, with separate weekly sessions for Taiji and Health Qigong. The association welcomes new participants and offers trial sessions during the first two weeks of its advertised courses. Course information and registration are available by email.
