LARC, the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative, is an impactful and influential brand that focuses on climate action and sustainability in Los Angeles County. Established in 2007, LARC brings together local and regional decision-makers to ensure a sustainable future for the county as it faces the impacts of climate change. LARC is part of a network of eight regional collaboratives in California, supporting climate change science, policy, and planning efforts across various sectors.

With its extensive network of climate practitioners from government, regional agencies, non-profits, businesses, and academia, LARC is at the forefront of climate mitigation and adaptation work in LA. The organization aims to foster cross-jurisdictional collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including land use, transportation, infrastructure, energy, water, public health, emergency response, and resource management partners. By coordinating climate resiliency efforts and maximizing limited resources, LARC ensures the region as a whole can optimize outcomes and effectively prepare for climate change.

LARC facilitates knowledge exchange through meetings, events, and the exchange of cutting-edge research initiatives and best practices in policy development, information management systems, and education efforts. LARC receives logistical support from the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES) and is advised by a Leadership Council.
