## Description

The Laboratoire de Recherche Historique Rhône-Alpes (LARHRA) is a French research laboratory specializing in history and art history from the early modern period to the contemporary era. Founded in 2003, it is a joint research unit of the CNRS and five partner institutions: Lumière Lyon 2 University, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, Grenoble Alpes University, and the École normale supérieure de Lyon. Its community includes researchers, university faculty, engineers, technical and administrative staff, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and associate members.

LARHRA brings together research on subjects including art and visual culture, digital history, conflict, gender, religion, knowledge, populations, institutions, and the relationships between society, environment, and health. It supports scholarly work through research programs, seminars, workshops, partnerships, and doctoral projects. The laboratory also shares its work through publications and editions, members’ books, newsletters, scientific blogs, and public engagement. Its online resources include a documentation center, collaborative platforms, audio digitization, databases, and information about current events and activities. The site helps visitors explore members, publications, and research topics.
