## Description

LaTonya Richardson is an Arkansas-based children’s and young adult author who creates stories inspired by the honesty, humor, and distinctive perspective of children. Her interest in writing began in sixth grade, when she won a district-wide writing contest, and she has long been drawn to children’s books and the ways stories can inspire, touch, and captivate readers.

Richardson’s books bring together adventure, friendship, and family. In one story, Al-the-Gator and Raycoon set out to make bayou stew, discovering plenty of fun along the way. Ruby Quinn explores the idea that family can include people who choose to care for and support you. Going on a Bear Hunt follows two city boys on a country adventure involving butterflies, fishing, and honey. The website also offers a free activity kit for readers.

In addition to her books, Richardson welcomes speaking inquiries and invitations to visit schools. Readers can explore her books, follow her blog, subscribe for news about releases and events, and contact her through her website.
