## Description

LA SKALA is a year-round climbing centre in Žilina, Slovakia, welcoming beginners and experienced climbers, children and adults. Built specifically for climbing, it offers a broad range of facilities without compromising on the experience. Visitors can explore hundreds of routes of varying difficulty on climbing walls reaching 19 metres, across a reported climbing area of 3,500 square metres. The centre also has a separate 530-square-metre bouldering hall, a speed wall, MoonBoard, auto-belay devices and a children’s climbing area. In winter, climbers can use an outdoor dry-tooling wall. With both gentle routes for recreational visitors and overhangs for more advanced athletes, LA SKALA caters to different abilities and goals.

The centre offers climbing courses, training sessions and children’s clubs, including movement preparation for children aged three to 14. Its staff can guide first-time visitors through the facilities and explain the safety rules. LA SKALA also hosts the LA SKALA Boulder Open and operates a climbing club that can arrange registration with the Slovak Mountaineering Association JAMES.
