## Description

The Last Resort Recovery is a men-only drug and alcohol treatment provider serving central Texas, with its flagship ranch in Smithville and outpatient services in Austin-area communities. Its working ranch offers a structured setting for men seeking support with substance use and dual diagnosis, combining clinical care with daily routines, open pasture, and equine-assisted therapy. The program uses the Natural Lifemanship modality, a trauma-informed approach to working with horses.

Services span the recovery journey, including medically supervised detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient care, family programming, aftercare, and specialized support for people returning to treatment after relapse. Therapies and activities include individual and group counseling, evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT, life-skills work, fitness, and experiential therapy. The organization also serves people from a range of backgrounds, including veterans, business professionals, students, and first responders.

The Last Resort helps prospective clients verify insurance confidentially and provides 24/7 admissions support. Its stated accreditations include CARF, LegitScript, and NAATP, and it is licensed by Texas HHSC.
