## Description

L’Atelier de Rose is the writing and literary practice of Rose-Marie Mattiani, an author and writing-workshop facilitator based in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of France. With 27 years of experience leading workshops for varied audiences, Mattiani offers creative and literary writing sessions for adults in Elne, Perpignan, Argelès-sur-Mer and Saint-Cyprien. Participants explore their own writing through playful exercises, themed prompts and readings from established authors. Sessions are open to beginners, require no prior experience, and can be joined during the year, subject to registration and venue arrangements. The Elne programme also includes “écriture à dess(e)in,” combining writing with visual arts; no artistic background is required, and materials are provided.

Alongside workshops, L’Atelier de Rose provides public-writer services, including help with correspondence and other documents, manuscript proofreading and correction, and commissioned life stories or accounts of significant events, with literary guidance. The website also presents Mattiani’s published work, including the poetry collection Des jours sans eux and the novel Le soleil à travers une passoire, as well as her writing and biographical services.
