## Description

Lathoa is an educational platform that helps children aged 10–14 build critical-thinking skills for a world shaped by AI. Its math companion, Errol, works through problems step by step but deliberately makes a mistake for learners to identify and explain. Children review each solution, tap the faulty step, describe what went wrong in their own words, and see the correct reasoning. Challenges are offered at Obvious, Sneaky, and Expert levels, with difficulty suited to age and skill. Learners earn ranks for catching errors, without timed pressure or grades; parents can choose whether to enable a leaderboard.

The platform currently covers arithmetic, fractions, ratios, pre-algebra, and early geometry, aligned with Common Core grades 4–8. Problems undergo a separate verification step, and activities use structured cases rather than open-ended chat. Lathoa runs in a browser, on iOS, and on Android. Plans range from a free option with three daily cases to paid subscriptions with unlimited challenges, replayable cases, parent progress tools, and support for up to four children.
