## Description

Laura Burkett Designs is a Rhode Island-based maker of small-batch leather accessories, bringing together an Italian design aesthetic and American craftsmanship. Working from a Pawtucket studio, the brand creates pieces from premium, full-grain cowhide, with an emphasis on careful construction and lasting use. Its collection includes totes, backpacks, clutches, messenger bags, tablet bags, crossbody and sling bags, and a lumbar support pillow, alongside limited-edition vegetable-tanned leather designs.

The brand also collaborates with needlepoint designer Elizabeth Crane Swartz on self-finishing totes that showcase completed needlepoint canvases. These bags feature a clear front window and adhesive to secure the canvas; customers can purchase them unfinished or request additional services, including stitching in a completed canvas and adding a fabric lining. Production and shipping take several weeks, depending on the selected options.

Laura Burkett Designs sells its products through an online shop and invites customers to contact the studio for information and wholesale inquiries. Its approach combines functional accessories with thoughtfully designed leatherwork, made in America and inspired by Italy.
