## Description

Lautari is an Italian nonprofit social cooperative founded in 1992. It operates therapeutic communities focused on the detoxification, rehabilitation, and social reintegration of people experiencing drug or alcohol dependence. Its treatment approach is pedagogical and rehabilitative, and stays at its facilities are provided free of charge. Lautari supports residents through community life and practical activities, with guidance for participants and their families and assistance in planning their return to society. Its internal activities include woodworking, vehicle repair, construction work, and agricultural and animal-farming initiatives.

The organization also runs prevention and information projects. Drug Zero focuses on preventing substance use and explaining its consequences; Salvagente provides residential support, community integration, and pathways toward social reintegration; and Grest informs young people about different forms of addiction and ways to address them. Additional prevention work aims to strengthen relationships and encourage constructive engagement with communities. Lautari operates locations in Pozzolengo, Como, Florence, Pordenone, and Rome, and invites the public to support its work through donations.
