## Description

Leichtathletikvereinigung e. V. Gau-Algesheim, known as LAV, is a community sports club dedicated to promoting athletics in Gau-Algesheim, Germany. The club offers a welcoming environment where enjoyment, shared experiences and participation are central to training and competition. Its programs include traditional athletics for children and young people, alongside Kinderleichtathletik, a child-friendly approach that introduces younger participants to the sport through age-appropriate activities and competitions. LAV also provides training sessions, opportunities to work toward the German Sports Badge, and events such as summer and indoor sports festivals. Beyond regular sport, the club organizes activities including a summer holiday program for children and youth. Members take part in competitions across a range of athletics disciplines, including running, relays and hammer throw. Outdoor training and events are held at Gau-Algesheim’s municipal sports park, while winter training groups use the Schloss-Ardeck school sports hall. LAV describes itself as a small but motivated club and welcomes people interested in exercising, learning athletics and taking part in its community life.
