## Description

La Vie Moyenâgeuse is a French non-profit association founded in 1994 to help visitors discover aspects of Occitanie’s history during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Based on an 11-hectare site, the association brings the medieval past to life through lively encampments and activities for towns and villages. Its farm includes animals associated with farms of the period, while some of its buildings are listed as historic monuments and are mentioned in an eleventh-century text. The land also supplied, in part, the nuns of Vielmur-sur-Agout for several centuries.

The association offers activities for a range of audiences. It welcomes school and extracurricular groups to its farm for participatory workshops, and can arrange birthday celebrations for young knights and ladies. Visitors can also take part in medieval-style feasts and costumed meals, with costumes available to borrow. Through these events, educational visits and community activities, La Vie Moyenâgeuse combines historical discovery with an engaging, hands-on experience.
