## Description

Lazarus is an information and services hub for XBT, also listed by some exchanges as BTCB2: a Bitcoin-derived chain that switched to BLAKE2b proof of work at block 961,640. The chain retains Bitcoin’s earlier history, balances, addresses, 21 million coin limit, and scheduled halvings, while using a different mining algorithm. Lazarus explains how the network works and provides live statistics, recent blocks, mining guidance, a pool directory, and a visual map of pools and DATUM gateways.

Its ecosystem includes Lazarus Pool, which supports DATUM mining and TIDES payouts in the coinbase without accounts or custody; a block explorer with transaction data, mining statistics, an API, and mempool view; and an Electrum server for XBT wallets. Lazarus Key is described as a hardware wallet for signing on the chain, while an MCP server connects AI assistants to live network data. The site also offers open-source node, pool, gateway, and related tool builds. Lazarus emphasizes using a fresh wallet reserved for XBT, since the chain shares Bitcoin’s pre-fork history and addresses.
