## Description

The Leo Baeck Institute London is a research and cultural organisation dedicated to the history and culture of German-speaking Jews. Based at Senate House in London, it connects scholarly research with public engagement, exploring Jewish life, memory, migration and the lasting effects of the Holocaust. Its work includes research projects, fellowships and workshops, alongside opportunities such as a PhD scholarship in modern Jewish history and culture. The Institute also maintains a library and the LBI London Pamphlet Collection, and contributes to initiatives including the Library of Lost Books project. Its public programme features lectures, book talks, film events, external events and a film club, with opportunities to attend in person or online. The Institute shares research and perspectives through publications such as the LBI Year Book and the German Jewish Cultures series, as well as podcasts, news and its monthly newsletter. Membership and donations help supporters engage with and contribute to the Institute’s work. As a registered charity in England and Wales, it serves researchers and the wider public.
