## Description

The Paris Laboratory of Condensed Matter Chemistry (LCMCP) is a research laboratory associated with Sorbonne University, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and the Collège de France. It is recognized for developing functional inorganic and organic–inorganic hybrid materials through soft-chemistry methods and evaluating their physicochemical properties at different scales. Its research is organized across several teams: SMILES focuses on spectroscopy, modelling, and interfaces for the environment and health; RMES studies reactive materials for electrochemical devices; NANO develops novel advanced nano-objects; MATBIO explores materials and biology; and MHP works on hybrid materials and processes. Cross-disciplinary themes include biomineralization and soft matter. LCMCP supports its research with laboratory equipment and facilities, including resources for mechanical and thermal measurements, other scientific equipment, and internal services such as instrument booking and liquid nitrogen access. The laboratory also shares its research through publications, books, patents, and theses. Its work connects materials design and characterization with applications in areas including health, the environment, and electrochemical technologies.
