## Description

Le Poisson d’Or is an artisan studio dedicated to the creation and restoration of gilded woodwork and decorative frames. Specializing in wood gilding and ornamentation, artisan Nadine Berroyer brings traditional craft techniques to historic objects and contemporary artistic projects. The work involves preparing carved wood and applying delicate gold leaf to its ornaments, creating a decorative finish that also helps protect the surface from the effects of time. The studio’s services include restoring antique objects and frames, as well as designing and making distinctive pieces. Its portfolio features frames in Louis XIII, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire, Renaissance and Barbizon styles, alongside contemporary commissions. Projects can incorporate materials and methods such as copper or silver leaf, natural pigments, and mixed-media artwork framing. Le Poisson d’Or also works with artists and designers to enhance modern works through refined, individual finishes. Combining respect for historical practice with creative experimentation, the studio offers bespoke craftsmanship focused on preserving traditional know-how while giving each object a considered artistic presence.
