Our online platform, launched in March 2021, is the first and only animal adoption website in Egypt. At Leaf Animals, we prioritize successful and lifelong matches between humans and animals. We follow a meticulous and comprehensive process for adoption, fostering, and sponsorship, ensuring that each wonderful creature finds its forever home. Moreover, we strive to spread awareness about animal welfare, well-being, and care through our platform, acting as an informal educational resource for the community. Our passionate founders, Amina El Shazly and Tanya El Kashef, have extensive experience in rescue and adoption. With a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs, they aim to make responsible rehoming, adoption, fostering, and sponsorship more accessible to everyone. Together, they have seven animals and continue to enhance their knowledge in order to better serve animals in need. Our vision is a world where animals' innate needs are respected, and their lives are cherished beyond mere utility. To bring about this transformation, we advocate for a cultural shift where animal welfare becomes paramount, encompassing both domesticated and wild animals. At the core of our vision lies the belief in force-free, positive reinforcement practices, guided by research-driven methods and standards. Leaf Animals' mission is to enhance animal welfare not only in Egypt but also globally. Education plays a pivotal role in achieving this objective, and we have made it a key focus of our work. Our website is designed to expedite successful adoptions, foster care, and animal sponsorships. Furthermore, we utilize our platform to generate awareness and provide valuable information to the community.
