## Description

The League for Innovation in the Community College is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating innovation in community colleges. Founded in 1968 by B. Lamar Johnson and 12 U.S. community and technical college presidents, it supports institutions working to strengthen learning, student success, and their role in local communities. The League offers membership opportunities, professional events, awards, publications, and programs for community college leaders, faculty, staff, and students. Its events include the Innovations Conference, the Executive Leadership Institute, webinars, and the AI Academy. Awards recognize excellence among college faculty and staff, as well as student achievement in technology. Through projects focused on workforce solutions, public health, student basic needs, and alternative pathways, the organization shares resources and supports colleges in addressing evolving needs. Its publications include Innovatus magazine, League Connections, and the Terry O’Banion Papers, alongside articles and practices in its Innovation Library. The League also connects members and partners through directories, spotlights, and other resources designed to encourage collaboration across the community college sector.
